Are you wearing dentures because you were told you couldn't get implants due to poor bone density? Do your dentures slip, tilt, or wander, and you would much prefer to have the solid strength and stability with implants? You will be interested to know of a breakthrough called mini implants. Mini implants secure your dentures, eliminating any slippage or trapped food. They can also be used to replace a single missing tooth. They are placed in a single visit and are virtually painless. You are able to begin eating the same day you receive them. In addition, they can often be placed where regular implants cannot, so you may receive the benefits of mini implants even if it's determined regular implants won't work for you.
We offer our denture patients another alternative – overdentures. With the addition of a few dental implants to support dentures, your teeth will be "locked" into place so they won't move around or slip. Yet they can easily snap off for ease of cleaning. Ask us if you are a candidate for overdentures!
You have probably heard of terms like “Teeth in a Day™”, “New Teeth Now™”, “Teeth in an hour™”, etc. etc. They are all based on decade old concept of “All on Four®” providing patients with fully functioning teeth on dental implants in one single procedure. This groundbreaking technology allows accurate and precise placement of dental implants and attaching of the temporary prosthesis to the implants all in one visit. After 4-6 months of healing process the temporary prosthesis is replaced with final prosthesis. In most cases it requires a few visit by the patient to get the final prosthesis made but in the meanwhile we provide the patient to wear a temporary prosthesis so they are never without teeth in the process.
The process starts when a CAT scan is taken of the patient's jawbone. This CAT scan allows for the generation of a three-dimensional model of the jawbone that can then be used in virtual reality software to plan the implant placement without the presence of the patient. The results are more accurate implant placement, and less chair time for the patient at the surgery office.
Snap on dentures are also known as over dentures, implant supported dentures and is a more affordable treatment alternative for patients who cannot afford to get fixed hybrid prosthesis. Snap on dentures are attached to two to six dental implants to make the denture more stable and secure eliminating the need of dental adhesive. Dr. Agrawal has years of experience in making snap on dentures and have made numerous snap on dentures for his patients in the Villages. At Prime Dentistry in the Villages we have a on site denture lab which helps us make custom fitted snap on dentures in a very short time.
